Catering Policy and Contract


When arranging for catered services, we ask that you plan as far in advance as possible. Orders must be placed ten (10) business days prior to your event. Even if you do not know the final number of guests, this gives us enough time to create the best event for you. For special menu requests we will need more advance notice. We will make every attempt to satisfy your needs for any events booked less than one (1) week in advance,  but menu selections or any special requests cannot be guaranteed. 


A $100.00 convenience fee is charged for any function booked within three (3) business days prior to the event. To place an order, call our catering coordinator at 612.490.3520, or email tiosminnesota@gmail.com.

Final guest count must be submitted within 72 hours of the event. If no final count is obtained, we will prepare and charge for the original number of guests quoted.  Cancellations up to four (4) days prior to the event are without charge. After three (3) days prior to the day of the event, the charge will be 25% of the cost of the event. Same day cancellations will result in a full charge of the entire event.


A service fee of 15% applies to all orders. This assures staffing, fuel, overhead and incidental costs are covered. Taxes are NOT included in menu pricing.


Payment in the form of check is preferred to avoid credit card processing fees. Payment can be made at the conclusion of the event, or mailed to:   Tio’s Food and Beverage

Helpful Information When Planning Your Event:


•Theme or purpose of your event 

•Special diet considerations, food allergies - we make every effort to accommodate dietary requests, however, certain circumstances may require customer to provide an outside meal to avoid cross-contamination of allergens.

•Special layout needs (reserved seating or tables,  linens, outside napkins or placemats) 

•Budget parameters

Food Safety:

Dining Services takes exceptional care to follow recommended proper food handling procedures in the best interests of our clients and guests to help reduce the risk of foodborne illness. As such, we have certain service guidelines designed to help us maintain this high level of food safety practice. These guidelines include not serving or making available for service any food or beverage that was not produced or supplied by Tio’s Food and Beverage, or one of our approved vendors; adhering to time limits that food may be held safely for service; limiting the service of certain foods to certain locations and conditions under which food safety guidelines can be upheld. Food items leftover may be packaged by the client for offsite consumption, or donation arrangements will be made by the catering director to assure minimal  food is wasted.

Tio’s Food and Beverage provides full service catering for large or small groups. We are committed to making your event special for you and your guests.

Please keep in mind that the menu items and services available in our flexible catering package are a sample of what we can do for you.
